New Spanish Language Weekly Debuts in Idaho

The Idaho Press-Tribune will launch a new Spanish-language publication this Friday in the Nampa, Idaho market with an initial run of 10,000 copies.

The paper will focus mainly on local news and events, announcements, and will also have a classified. For national and international content and photo, the paper will draw from AP Spanish.

La Prensa Libre will be a free distribution paper, available at grocery stores, restaurants and other heavily-trafficked areas.

The new publication has garnered interest from major national retailers and service providers.

The Nampa area's Hispanic population has increased by 106% between 1990 and 2000 alone, according to the Idaho Press-Tribune.
